Money is probably the most common wedding gift, and we haven't heard any couples complain yet!Whether it's cash, a check or a gift card, money is one of the most useful gifts a couple can receive and is always appreciated. But what can you say on a thank-you card about money or cash? How do you share your appreciation without being rude?

First of all, thank the guests at the wedding and then add personal information about the recipient. It is probably the memories of your wedding night, or the jokes between you. This way you can start with a super friendly note instead of jumping straight to the gift.

Now you should say "thank you for the gift."Never mention the exact amount. With most money gifts, you don't want to give the impression that the money they gave you won't go away in your mind. The giver may feel uncomfortable with his own giving compared to others.

Here comes an example:

Dear Fred and Mary,

Thank you so much for coming to the wedding. We loved seeing you there and we had so much fun dancing with you! Your gift was very much appreciated and you’ll be happy to know it has gone straight toward the down payment on our new home. Thanks again for joining us on such a special day!

Much Love,
Alex and Kendra
