Iceland
You’ll want to bring along your thickest wet suit for a swim in Iceland’s glacial lagoon. It may not be a warm-you-up bath, but Jökulsárlón is home to loads of fish and seals in the wintertime and it’s surrounded by beautiful blue waters if you’re looking for a photo-worthy spot.

Sapa, Vietnam

Ask your hotel to arrange for a Jeep to take you from Sapa to the Bac Ha Market on a Sunday morning, when trade is at its peak. Also have a car take you to Hoang Lien National Park, where a guide can take you to "Heaven's Gate" or the Silver Waterfall.
